A Day at Sunflower Playscheme

During the holiday play scheme we provide a variety of toys, games and activities. A copy of our programme is available on our website (for examples please see last year’s activity download).  Children can make friends and play in a safe, relaxed, varied and friendly environment.  This includes daily art and craft activities based around a topic theme. We offer the children both choice of indoor and outdoor sports and play activities. We have a wonderful range of toys, games and activities for children to explore and enjoy, both indoors and out.

Children are offered a varied programme of activities suitable for their age range within a relaxed atmosphere.  Wherever possible we work within an adult:child staffing ratio of 1:6.  Most of the staff working at the Playschemes also work within the After School Club which operates from the school throughout the year. Opportunities for outdoor play are offered throughout the day, with free play, adventure playground, sports and team games on offer.  We plan a varied programme of activities and children are offered free choice of toys and games. During the holidays we take the opportunity to do a wide range of activities: Den making, cooking, face painting, park visits, large craft projects, bouncy castles, library visits and many more (A copy of the consent form can be downloaded online for all activities).

Within our friendly setting, children are encouraged to make and play with new friends.
